Thank you for your interest in participating in The Big Flock Yarn Festival 2027: May 22-23 (set up on Friday 21 May). The show is open to the public on Saturday 22 May 9.30am-5pm and Sunday 23 May 9.30am - 4pm.

We are so excited to for the third Big Flock festival, following the success of the last two years and having run quarterly Flock gatherings for lovers of yarn from across the South West, for a number of years.

There is such a vibrant, creative community in Bristol, Bath, Gloucester, Cardiff and across the South West and Midlands, which we want to bring together, here in Bristol, just off the M32.

As dyers of hand-dyed yarn and vendors ourselves at other yarn events, we wanted to create an event which is a very positive experience, for both vendors and everyone who comes along; The Big Flock has proven to be just that event.

Therefore, we limit the number of stalls to around 50; keeping good space and an enjoyable environment throughout the great venue of Bristol UWE Enterprise Park 1. This is an accessible, contemporary venue, with everything on one site. The exact number of stalls will depend upon the size of stalls selected.

It is important to us that we do our best to make The Big Flock as accessible as possible. This influences many of our decisions, including the importance of space across the venue, how we advertise and promote the show (using both visual and auditory means), videos of how to get here and a walk-around of the venue, along with all signage and printing. Please note that business names will be written in a mix of lower and upper case, whenever within a body of text, both on the website and in printed materials. We believe this is best practise for legibility, especially for people with dyslexia. Colours used will also aim to avoid issues for those with colour blindness or other sight issues. We may not always get it right, but we are committed to inclusion. The Big Flock should be able to be enjoyed by anyone.

We were so thrilled with everyone who took part in The Big Flock, in 2025 and 2026; they helped to create such a friendly, special atmosphere;

“it was one of the best shows I've exhibited at… I thought the organisation and communication were excellent. You seemed to have thought of everything and both traders and visitors seemed to have a great weekend. The show had a lovely friendly atmosphere and the facilities and location were great.”

For TBF 2027, we are expecting to be inundated with applications. For TBF 2026, we had more than double the number of applications than spaces available and have already had many other makers contacting us about applying.

As a very curated show, each year we start from scratch.Please do not be offended if your application one year may be unsuccessful; we obviously aim to keep the atmosphere and welcoming vibe. We also want to ensure there is always something new, whilst retaining a great balance and range, for customers to enjoy; a rich tapestry of the woolly community!

The Big Flock is a curated yarn festival, aiming to celebrate diverse makers and designers of high-quality yarn, fibre, garments and accessories. We want to create a warm, welcoming and accessible space for anyone to enjoy yarn and time spent together with others from our creative community.
